Surrey Funding Fair 2006

Find out about ideas and opportunities to get funding for your voluntary or community group.

Are you part of a community or voluntary group in Mole Valley? Are you looking for funding for your group?

Mole Valley District Council has been working with Surrey County Council and other organisations to host the first ever Surrey Funding Fair, which is taking place on Thursday 16th March at Bourne Hall, Ewell from 1.00pm-6.00pm.

Mole Valley District Council has joined Surrey County Council, Reigate & Banstead Borough Council, Surrey Community Action, and Surrey Councils for Voluntary Service Network to bring big and small exhibitors to this Funding Fair including: 
Arts Council England, Awards for All, Big Lottery Fund, Comic Relief, Defra, English Heritage, Heritage Lottery Fund, SEEDA, SITA Environmental Trust, Surrey County Council, Surrey Waste Action, Surrey Wildlife Trust, The Prince's Trust.

As well as the exhibition a full programme of seminars are planned for the afternoon to introduce funding programmes, advice on how to write a successful bid and how to attract business sponsorship.  

David Searle, Director of Services at Mole Valley District Council said: "The Funding Fair brings together a wide range of organisations to offer funding, grants and advice on the best ways to apply for external funding.  It is an unprecedented opportunity to meet some of the top people and organisations in the field of voluntary and community sector funding."
