Mole Valley residents have set new levels in their recycling over the Christmas week.

Mole Valley residents have set new levels in their recycling over the Christmas week.

Over the festive period, the residents recycled:

• 15 tonnes of Christmas trees.
• 162 tonnes of household waste.
• 65 tonnes of glass.

Dave Parr, Head of District Council General Services said;

"This year's amount of recycled material is a huge increase on the same period last year and highlights the impact that the new rubbish and recycling service has had on recycling in Mole Valley."
